Needs decanting but after a while it opens up — 7 years ago
CC Gran Selezione. Needs a full day’s aeration to move from high-toned to full-on freight train of raspberry, sage, summer savory and saddle shop. Tremendous grip and length; superfine tannins. Superior. #poggioalsole #casasilia #chianticlassico #granselezione — 8 years ago
Remarkable rust color but not due to a mistake or accident. Baked bread with a smooth light red raspberry and plum combo. — 8 years ago

WTF Barbaresco, paid C$41 for it, expected nothing near this quality. Asphalt-tar-laden nose bathed in rose-and-tulip florals. Wide beam of tannins. Clean, crisp but smooth and beautifully articulated layers of leather, light asian spice. Class-in-a-glass. Peaked at an hour after decant, sole disappointment was that it started to break down around 4 hrs in. This is ready with decant, but has stuffing for cellar time. — 9 years ago
Fun, young, &!fizzy! Light-bodied. Cherries! Reminds me of Lambrusco. Pleasantly surprised, really enjoyed it! — 9 years ago
Had this with a complicated sandwich of legume patty, pickled beets, dill, and seed bread and pierogies topped with onions, pickled veg, and mustardy sauce from the wonderful Apteka in Pittsburgh. This wine complemented the meal perfectly. — 9 years ago
