A beautifully balanced example of Moscato d'Asti. Off-dry and definitely less sweet than many, this wine emphasizes the appeallingly herbaceous side of Moscato. Orange blossom, clover, honey, acacia and a hint of hay give this real appeal. Terrific as an aperitif with salumi or in Piemonte tradition, with hazelnut cake for dessert — 8 years ago
Reminds me of grapes (Concord) I used to eat off the vine as a kid. Slightly sweet orange creamsicle. — 8 years ago
Onion skin color. Oily texture. White grapefruit pith, orange blossom, white flowers, pickled ginger — 9 years ago
This wine screams NZ! Full on nose and palate of passion fruit (does what is says on the label!). Also orange blossom and honeysuckle. — 10 years ago
Lovely Chateau Neuf Du Pape 2010. Extremely soft and feminine. Love subtle creamy flavor. Nice banana, pineapple, creamy almond taste, orange blossom. — 10 years ago
Orange rind and blossom on the nose, honeysuckle on the palate with a citrus & nut finish. Interesting wine — 11 years ago
Orange blossom, sea foam aromatics orchard fruits and wet stone delicately dance on the palate .. Fun brunch wine with Escargot — 11 years ago
Flinty orange blossom sandwich. — 12 years ago
Floral is what comes to mind immediately. Jasmine, Honeysuckle and orange blossom. Waxy mouthfeel and flavors of poached pear, apricot and toasted oak. More “woodiness” than I recall from past experience with the La Doriane. Seemed a bit clenched and reticent last night. — 8 years ago

Incredible. White flowers, rose petal, orange blossom, peach, pear, orange creamsicle, vanilla. Strong old vine intensity and ultra long thought-provoking finish. Just a baby still, with prevalent oak and potential for extended aging period, but still really well balanced. — 8 years ago
Tonight's wine was a Christmas gift from a family member. This 2013 Big Head Chenin Blanc comes from the Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario region of Canada.
On the nose there is pear, honeydew melon, apricot, apple blossom, ginger, honey, saffron and minerality.
On the palate I am getting an overabundance of ripe fruit, apricot, mandarin orange, mango, pineapple, baked apple, lemon curd and wet rock minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and there is a medium sweetness not overly sweet that lends to a well balanced, well rounded Chenin Blanc.
Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
Orange blossom, underripe melon, lime. Well balanced and generally delightful. — 11 years ago
Yeasty apricot, orange blossom and honeysuckle. Wonderful. — 11 years ago
Pale yellow color with appealing green apple, lime, cantaloupe, ocean breeze aromas complemented by hints of tropical fruit and orange blossom. On the palate, it approaches medium bodied, and persistent with crackling acidity, and a wonderful texture. It shows green apple, lime a bit of stone fruit and a bit of melon flavors with a giving finish. 2014 Vintage — 11 years ago
Kath loved this....jury still out for me.... Flavor amazing...honeysuckle, white dried peach, orange blossom honey. Pineapple leaves on the nose, very interesting. Very temperature sensitive to max flavor. Just ordered another bottle — 11 years ago
Weekly Wednesday wine committee. This week we had 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 3 reds, 1 dessert. All tasted blind as normal.
I’ve been spoiled with birth year wines as of late and this was no exception. Nobody guessed it was older than 10yrs! Shocked at how light in color it still was. Retained some orange blossom, chamomile, honeyed caramel almonds. Wonderful Sauternes. — 8 years ago
Intense musk stick, candied apricot and peach; honey and orange blossom nose. Temperature and time open up the palate to reveal some good texture and spice, along with orange pith and stone fruit flavours, maybe a touch of earth as well (courtesy of the terracotta, no doubt) — 8 years ago
Super delicate yet beautiful nose. Aromas of orange blossom & slight baked cherry, truffle with an almost potpourri quality & White pepper. The palate is textured yet elegant & fresh. — 9 years ago
Juicy, steely, green apple and pear, with an orange blossom thing happening on the nose and big acidity to balance it all. Great seafood and salad wine. — 9 years ago
This Sauternes is a true gem! Unctuous roasted peaches, dried apricots, orange blossom water, and candied orange rind play off of the heady saffron aroma and flavor. I could drink this every day paired with absolutely anything. This is perfection in a bottle. — 10 years ago
Nose is aromatic with orange blossom and a slight hint of tomato leaf. Not quite as briny as Albariño but crisp and refreshing — 10 years ago
Nice orange and wheat flavors! — 11 years ago
