The wine of the evening is a; Anakena Ona Special Reserve Pinot Noir 2011, from Leyda Valley, Chile. This is a very good wine for the price point! Color-Deep red color with a slight crimson core Bouquet-This wine leaves your nose with a beautiful Bouquet of raspberry, and crushed cranberries. There are also some slight sweet wood aromas as well. Palate-Your palate is greeted by different fruit and cherry flavors, with some slight herb and spice on the back end. — 13 years ago

Concentrated and powerful wine from the drought vintage of 2012 in Rioja. Torre de Ona is a project of La Rioja Alta using fruit from the northern part of the region. Notes of wild dark berries, cocoa, smoke, and anise dominate the nose. Palette exhibits strong acidity and ripe tannins with flavors evolving as the wine breathes. Really well made - drinking well now, but tannins will smooth out more with 5 years of cellaring. 2012 vintage on Oct 20, 2018 — 8 years ago
