Quite bright medium ruby , ruby pink rim . Quite elegant and reserved , some red cherry, violet , summer fruits , scorched earth , touch of spice . On the palate quite elegant also , summer fruits, blackberry , blackcurrant , red plum . Good balanced acidity , herbal touches on the medium length , saline tinged finish . Quite polished but still grippy tannins . This is showing well , especially with food , but has a relatively long future , from now and over the next 5-10 years. This is just hitting it’s peak I feel (good for a few more years at least). The nose is all dried flowers, wet stone, blackberry, and hints of tobacco and vanilla round it out. On the palate, the blackberry carries throughout, with beautiful blueberry and currant highlights. This is a wine to relish on its own. 🤯 — 5 years ago

This wine is simple brilliant and ready to drink! The nose leads with hints of bright red fruits then quickly transitions to an earthy smell ripe with fresh rain. Tastes of subtle dark fruit, followed by mild tannins, with a lush mineral finish. We are pairing with mussels braised in a tomato confit, glazed pork belly, and classic steak and potatoes.
