83yr old Grenache. Chaffey Bros grance. Unfined and fresh. Touch funcky, fruit is forward but some nice depth of flavour as well. — 8 years ago
Very local while having a pizza in Claremont — 9 years ago
Party with Tamara, Murray, and Greg. This one paired well with the ginger inn the Mediterranean chicken. — 9 years ago

2008 was great. Old vine magic. — 10 years ago
This is pretty amazing juice, pure old vine, aged Grenache, amazing depth, weight, and length, seems mature (ripe vintage, IIRC), but just amazing! — 11 years ago
This is bold. Benefits from a bit of breathing. — 11 years ago
Dont remember where this came from but it is wonderful — 13 years ago
Had another bottle. Stéphane Ogier is one of Côte Rôtie’s most well-respected stars & looks for concentration in the vineyards and freshness in the cellars. "Le Temps est Venu, ‘the time has come’ for an adventure farther south, with old-vine Grenache and limestone slopes. A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that comes from the Plan de Dieu and Visan AOCs. Red fruit aromas and pepper spice notes. Sweet raspberry and cherry flavor adding herbs to the mix. Medium length ending with earthy notes. Nice value! — 8 years ago
Wonderful. Clean and crisp — 9 years ago
Big and hot and almost fortified but with lightness of skins and colour. Old vines, 2004 vintage — 9 years ago

Fantastic for the price . — 11 years ago
Look garnet, nose berry, flavor plum, berry spice mid body no tannins $12 not bad for an old vine Zin pair with BBQ ribs — 11 years ago
Beautiful color, deep red and translucent. Carignane and Grenache blend. We visited this site in Priorat and remember the gnarly 100 yr old Carignane vine, which only makes this wine even more special. Love it! — 12 years ago
Utterly splendid expression of old vine Grenache. Black fruit and tobacco on the nose. Red fruit and star anise with hints of spice. Medium finish, with subtle amount of acidity. — 8 years ago
Nariz: ciruela e higo ambos maduros, regaliz, tomillo, cuero. Ya mostrando evolucion la nariz.
Boca: Seco, Tanino M, Acidez M, Alcohol Alto. Largo en boca.
Vino con muy buen bouquet, complejo y con buen balance a pesar del alto nivel de alcohol. Excelente.

Kicking goal at 17 years old.
A culmination of vine pedigree, cork selection, proper cellaring, and decanted at the right time.
It evolved for over 3 hours.
A credit to Penfolds ability to make even lower tier wines with substance.
Soft tannin, earth, spice, surprising fruit! — 9 years ago
Earthy and older vine flavor! — 10 years ago
Smooth, silky and sooooo tasty. — 11 years ago
Plums (the fruit, not what Clarkson dipped in the Amazon), lots of red berries, lots of body but with soft tannins... Debbie said it was ok. — 12 years ago
