What a blast in flavour!! The taste lingers long enough to make you want another sip.
The color is deep burgundy.
The legs are slow snd long.

It's going to be really good. Briney tapenade raspberry. I drank this next to a cote rotie and blind I would have chosen the Halcon as the old world Syrah — 10 years ago
I'm not sure how @Hardy Wallace gets so much flavor and complexity packed into something that is as light and graceful as this. Cranberry, rhubarb, rocks, earth and mushroom. Orange zest. Smoked meat. I need too figure out how to not drink these for a while, to see what they become. — 11 years ago
Dark coffee, shaved bitter chocolate, charcoal, dried black fig, just a hint of candied lemon zest. Spasibo, North Coast! — 11 years ago

This Bordeaux style blend is not quite as big a wine as prior vintages, but has brighter acidity and nice mineral tannins. The dominant flavors are Bing cherry and blueberry, with a thick finish. It was a great complement to cumin seared steak salad. — 9 years ago

It's hard to drink wine that doesn't exist anymore (since the farm moved to Texas) without any nostalgia. Yes I very much like this wine. Opens up with the field flowers followed by honey and honey and honey with a right amount of acidity. Judging by cork this wine might be at its prime. Special moment — 8 years ago
Really nice yummy blend. Full and jammy but still good price point. — 9 years ago
70% Zinfandel from Anderson Valley & 30% whole cluster Carignan/Petite Sirah. Pure red and blue fruits, forest floor and bright herbs. — 10 years ago
Black fruit, jammy, savory. M tannin, body and intensity. On the palate dark fruit, chocolate, strawberry. Finish is short. — 10 years ago
Delicious! Creamy and complex with notes of coffee and chocolate and so much more. Sadly there must be corn in the mash because I have an allergic reaction. — 11 years ago
