Disg. 2/14…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s stunning today, rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all seamlessly integrated. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that stays with you. A BdB benchmark for my tastes. — 2 months ago
Lovely to finish a long evening.
Paired w/ shortbread w/ Macadamia nuts.
I like their craft. This is good but will ascend for 10 years.
Reductive in style. Pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, lime zest, white peach, light tropical melons, cheese cloth, cream, some mint, bread dough, yeast, limestone alluvials, sandstone, light white spice, sea fossils, baguette crust, yeastiness, bread dough, yellow lilies, jasmine, Spring flowers, round crisp acidity, well balanced, nicely knitted, with a smartly polished, elegant finish that’s lasts two-minutes. — 4 months ago
#Remembrance #Love 6/25.
Sofia loved Penguins. We played w/ them in Dubai and she also skied indoor while I had a spot of Champagne and watched from a very big window. Only in Dubai. They have to build things of that nature…cus w/o them…just a bunch of sand. — 3 months ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Pale straw lemon color with frothy mousse and lively bead of bubbles, produced only in exceptional vintages, grapes from grand cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. A complex nose of fresh fruit with yeast, nutty notes and floral scents. On the palate flavors of peach, berry and citrus flavors, floral with biscuit tones. Great balance with acidity, delicate textures, long finish ending creamy with toasty smoky oak and chalky mineral character. Very Nice! Tasting Sample! — 21 days ago
