Very well balanced fruit and oak flavours. Some butteriness but not overpowering. — 9 years ago
Perfect with a Cuban cigar after a day of sight seeing — 9 years ago
Solid all around, almost like a porter. Oaky and delicious — 10 years ago
Very good session beer, like the name, big Mosaic Hops, nice, if not a little one dimensional. — 10 years ago
A truly great Black IPA, not officially a style, yet, some brewers think it is, but anyway, this has everything big and bold in the style, big hops, big roasted malts, which it really what I get from this, others say it is more hops, but to me it is a porter/stout hopped to high hell, either way it is excellent — 10 years ago
An odyssey indeed. — 11 years ago
Dark ink colour, deep black currant with black berries and spice notes with super long finish. Will only get better with time-now just have to find some more! — 11 years ago
1968...forget tasting notes. This was an epic time capsule that was so much more than just wine. Take a sip and think....

A transfiguring, shape-shifting demon of flavor and memory. A single sip is like the ending scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey but instead of weird space stuff, it's the rolling hills of Piedmont and 1000s of herbs and fruits morphing into one another. #magic @Raymond Domenico — 9 years ago

I love almost everything green flash, but this is exceptional. The cedar adds a different kind of bitterness than hops can, and more depth. Very, very good. — 10 years ago
Light but flavorful. Great beer. — 11 years ago
A festive way to begin our Brooklyn odyssey. A perfect complement to takeout Thai! — 11 years ago
Assertive lemon and nice floral on the nose lead to a full bodied wine for a sauv blanc. Palate has more of the lemon, some peach and wet stone. Very long finish. There's something pleasantly smoky on the palate too. It works. — 12 years ago
Such a light and refreshing taste! Absolutely blown away! — 8 years ago
Vibrant and fruity. A little sweet but with a dry finish. — 8 years ago
Received this bottle as a wedding gift 9/21/13 and enjoyed it on 12/31/15. Delicious. Well balanced, light, and the perfect amount of light sweetness. — 9 years ago
2012 vintage, the beer odyssey continues. Smells like great Vouvray and has the wicked sour kick on the palate like rockin Chenin. #guiberteau in beer form — 10 years ago

Holy smokes! Really need to get myself a bottle. B&S summed up the wine perfectly:
This is near immaculate. Match a consistently revered wine with a once-in-a-lifetime vintage and what you get is a rare and illusive gem.
Perfectly warm days and cool, steady nights allowed for ideal growing conditions in Clonakilla’s famed vineyards. With the ability to pick fruit at their own leisure, Tim Kirk and his team gained full fruit ripeness, balanced phenolic complexity and even increased the whole bunches to 30% for each ferment. The sensorial odyssey begins with perfumed florals and aromas of spice, charcuterie and wild herbs; before bright red and blue berries emerge on the palate. There’s a line of savoury richness which seamlessly interplays with the wine’s elegant tannin structure, however, what truly marks the experience is the complexity that each mouthful delivers. An immediate classic. — 8 years ago
