The Ridge Lytton Springs Zin 2012 was excellent bang for buck at $32. I also gather it is tough to find. Silky and smooth with good berries and a hint of vanilla. The tannins were youngish and I'd expect the body to develop over the next couple years. nice oaky finish. Very pleased. — 11 years ago

Popped this a couple hours before dinner. Showed a ton of red fruited character then. With air, this has picked up a ton of weight & plummy/currant/cedar notes. Plenty of tannic structure still. Classic Bordeaux- no spoof-great vintage. — 11 years ago
