1970 - wow - blows my socks off. Can't get better than this. Lots of earth, espresso and chocolate — 11 years ago
Now the 2007 Pegau... Earthy red berry, 'meaty', (almost) dried roses, incense... Subtle yet powerful (I know it sounds odd) :) — 12 years ago
Very odd in the beginning. Blew off early. Melted in my mouth. — 10 years ago
Very fresh and pretty on one hand with golden apple but then also some stinky socks and herbs coming in. — 12 years ago
2009. Deep golden, almost brownish hue. Some odd aromas (black olive?) on opening, but was beautiful after a 2-3 hour decant. $62 from Astor Wines, New York. — 10 years ago
Interesting and quite complex wine, rich and good with cheeses. Bought at odd bins? — 11 years ago
Seemed maybe a bit beyond its day... had a bit of an odd aroma. But still good and interesting! ... day 2: wow, much nicer. Changed my rating. Opening up recommended! — 11 years ago

What a delightful wine from Southern France. This used to be one of the most widely planted grape varietals, but feel out of favor in the late 80's. Glad to see that Paul Mas did not give up on it. With a nose of blackberries, vanilla and slate; an inky purple hue and a mouthful of flavors that will knock your socks off, this is a really nice wine! — 10 years ago
