Starts off very Asian: roasted sesame, light soy, pork. Then apple, lime flowers, roach oak. Med high body with balanced high acidity. Oak and lime aftertaste. Layer apricot, oak, oat, pineapple cote, mango, light passion fruit. Still young. Want to try in two years. — 10 years ago
A vivacious oat Chardonnay that is full of tropical fruit including coconut and a touch of banana… For those moments when you want something big with that oaky-vanillin finish... Great value for local Wildemeadow fruit at under $20 — 11 years ago

Aroma of coffee and dry mocca. Amazing how this beer has the ingredients on the bottle: water, barley, coffee nibs, oat malt, coffee, spaghetti! So unique. — 11 years ago
Great blend. Barley, rye, and a nice oat flavor. Good complexity. Buttery spice. — 11 years ago
Flint, toasted oat, cereal and fruit tones of Apple and citrus, tangerine. Bright juicy apple fruit long fruit finish crisp with toasty grains. Elegant and tight. — 12 years ago
Great! But the pop if the cork left me worried at first taste it had a heavy taste of raisin, and very long aftertaste but twenty minutes of just sitting the bottle the wine spread out and bloomed into a real pleasure with a nice raisin and oat taste. Loved it. — 13 years ago
Crisp, slightly astringent, tree fruit with lemon curd. Toasted almond. Steel-cut oat. Smoke. Disgorgement July 18, 2011. — 10 years ago
Nice oat mouthfeel with hops and oat bitterness finish. Great beer from Lauganitus Brewing! — 10 years ago
Light yellow with tiny bubbles. Delicate toast and white flower aromas are followed by apple, mineral and toasted almond flavors. Nice acidity with a lingering, clean finish. Toasted oat aromas linger in the empty glass. Very complex. Enjoy this sparkler with food. Disgorged 2014. — 10 years ago
Find most French beer (with the exception of some Northern Trappist style ones) deeply underwhelming so was very pleasantly surprised to drink this Alsace bottle conditioned ale. Great depth, orange and oat complexity. Will explore further — 11 years ago
I enjoy the oat but not smokey flavor. Smooth but with a tannin bite to finish. I like it a good bit! — 11 years ago

Salty air, a smidge of peat, a touch of smoke, and slighty sweet finish. Elegant. An Oat cake and Lockerbie Cheddar would be great, but the lemon Girl Scout cookies will have to do. Thanks Ailee! — 11 years ago
2011. Hint of oat in the nose — 12 years ago
Wine wakes up after decanting for 30min. Light body, low tannin and medium acidity, berry fruits, cherry, bit of spice and oat, easy to drink on its own. — 13 years ago
a great beer — 10 years ago
Honey, baked pineapple, toffee apple, papaya & mango, elegant rather than opulent. Character in the mouth is rich, textured but still maintains freshness with grapefruit, pineapple and a touch of lemon pith. Great match with baked Mont d'Or, garlic & honey, oat cakes and sweet bell pepper — 10 years ago
This is a skin changer wine: one minute later smell completely different: dark plum, roasted hazel nuts, slightly stale white ground pepper, pencil shavings, cassis, burning candles, leather. Med body, nice length, med tannins. Prunes, touch cinnamon, laurel. Leather violets cherry palate. Followed by oat, cherry, plum. Hibiscus and tobacco in empty glass — 10 years ago
The guy at the Summehill LCBO (aka The Happiest Place on Earth, amirite?) knew off the top of his head that they don't have any Tannat in stock, and that was at once impressive and devastating, but then he was all, "have you ever tried Bonarda?" and proceeded to give a brief history of the grape, followed by tasting notes and an overview of current producers ("If you visit Brazil, this is what you'll be drinking"), and I was, like, "Okay fine—just ask for my hand in marriage already."
Anyway, the dude was totally right. Not complex, but big on flavour. I'm getting a little bit of lavender on the nose and some charcoal on the finish. Lots of warm climate juiciness, which made for a surprisingly good pairing with cream of broccoli/cheddar soup and oat bread. — 11 years ago
Elegant, sexy and complete. Silky pear, honeydew, oat, flowers, honeycomb, brown spice, and rocky mineral notes. With medium-full weight and crisp gritty acidity the wine dances across the palate giving pleasure and promising so much for those patient enough to give this time to develop in bottle. Drink now with good air or hold for 5-7 years. 2013 — 11 years ago
Interesting mix. Hoppy with a touch of oat. Beer, you only borrow it. — 11 years ago
