Note to @Delectable Wine the winery is pronounced “Aranthia” but spelled “Arancia”. A Spanish ringer for Chablis (some people sense Chenin leanings) and a good one at that. Tropical flowers and citrus on the nose, but the palate is energized with lemon, mineral, bright acid, and some stone fruit bitterness. Very light on its feet, but finishes somewhat longer. Crazy good for a BTG selection. — 8 years ago
This wine was a great surprise, great value for the $13.99 price! A little tropical and earthiness on the nose, but on the palate it really came alive - crisp with a bit of effervescence, good acid and retaining the fruit flavor. Great with Indian food or any spicy food or shellfish. — 11 years ago
Intense, teeth-staining, black fruit and tannins that will rip your face off. Blinded as a New World Cab/Shiraz blend. — 11 years ago

Nicely balanced with both tangy brightness and crisp saline finish. Lots of ripe citrus and a little round peachiness on the mid palate. — 7 years ago

Mike Grgich, the “King of Chardonnay” farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months and did not undergo malolactic fermentation. The color is a pale golden yellow with aromas of stone, tropical fruit and citrus. The palate shows off apple, melon and peach flavors, with some orange rind and nutty notes coming through. The finish was rich and creamy with some spicy mineral and perfumed tones lingering to a complex ending. Not your typical California Chardonnay, Grgich delivers like a few can! — 10 years ago

Finally tapping into the good stuff — 11 years ago
In full disclosure I have enjoyed few orange wines (think white wines of white of grey grapes that have macerated on their skins like a red wine would in terms of length of skin contact). This however is from squeaky clean Riesling that has spent a month or so on its skins until November and even so is pure and clear, citric and textural, with chirpy tannins, marmalade and apricot pastry. Even the next day it resonated round the whole palate and if anything rocked its back into its orange structure. Delicious and one of a kind. — 11 years ago
