a really great neb. no it isn't Piedmont but it's damned tasty. loads of complexity, dried, candied fruits, smoke, florals, bitumen and succulently savoury finish. awesome with black truffle pasta. 😏 — 10 years ago

First red from Black Ankle. Garnet red with a dark core. Slightly stinky attack on the nose followed by some dark cocoa and nutmeg. Undertones of dark fruits. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) with a medium body. Dark cocoa and cherries on the palate with some good acidity and backbone. Long slightly dry finish. Drink till 2019. Very interesting Label actually says 11/12/13. — 9 years ago

Pale yellow in the glass, this Maryland Viognier has a delightful nose of peaches and lemons. The palate shows a savory sense with both wonderful acidity and a full mouthfeel. — 8 years ago
