This wine was decanted at noon. 7 hours later, it is still going strong. Makes the standard Beaucastel taste like a Côte du Rhône. The old vine Mourvèdre gives so much savory bacon to the glass that it blows the mind away. The magnum was to much. Would have aged faster in a standard bottle. This could have waited another 10 years easily. — 7 years ago
Mm flowers and fruit. Lilies, cantaloupe. Fun acidity. Love this (at noon). Awesome color. — 8 years ago
Refreshing, easy drinking wine, fruity with a dry finish. — 8 years ago
Pairs well with cagey cheese. Dec 2015. Curry potatoes. Remember how awesome last Thursday was? Such a good Thursday after noon! Lisa!! — 8 years ago
Honey in your mouth!. Drink this in the morning, noon and night!. Great statement from the Altenberg De Bergheim terroir of Alsace. Dry, textured, nicely complex and so round it makes your tongue swell. — 9 years ago
Pretty nice. After decanting the 2009 at noon into a wide bottom I re-bottled at 3:00. I tasted throughout the day until 7:30 pm then re-visited at 10:00 am the next day. The fruit was good and acids fine but the tannins were a little harsh early but it got better throughout the day leading to a beautiful Bordeaux after 24 hours. I think this is going to be very good in about 5-8 years. For a lighter, Merlot heavy blend I am pleasantly surprised. — 9 years ago
Chablis... Always good in the morning (noon or night!) — 10 years ago
2011 Noon , minute 2 midnight Shiraz/ Grenache — 10 years ago
Great Chignin. Fairly light body, ruby color, peppery. I opened it this morning for cooking and am highly tempted to drink before noon. Also good value -- not expensive. — 7 years ago
Incredible. Even at noon. Yum. Vanilla. Blackberry. — 8 years ago
A wake-up wine! Pour this around noon. V EZ. Dry, no RS. I never see grolleau having so much fun by itself. — 9 years ago
I discovered this wine while in Rome last month. It was so delicious I drank the whole thing in one night. Wanted to go see the Pope the next morning but slept till noon like a baby.
Didn't have enough space to buy couple of bottles when flying back to London. But luckily found them on Ocado.com and have been ordering ever since.
The color, the fruitiness and dryness are all the right amount. Great company with a lamp steak or an Arrabbiatta pasta! — 9 years ago
Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a shark, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then you hear that terrible high pitch screamin' and the ocean turns red and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin' they all come in and rip you to pieces.
Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many sharks, maybe a thousand! I don't know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin' chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland. Baseball player, boson's mate. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up. Bobbed up and down in the water, just like a kinda top. Up ended. Well... he'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us, he swung in low and he saw us. He's a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper, anyway he saw us and come in low. And three hours later a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened? Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water, three hundred and sixteen men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb. — 10 years ago
One of these Rieslings which need to be decanted! Much better the next day!!!! Flabby and flat upon opening for dinner 🍴 however next at noon - Classic fresh cut garden hose aka ⛽️. Golden color. Sour mandarin (Randgpur lime). Just great. Will cut through any food except for steak. From winebid dirt cheap as no one knows these wines. — 7 years ago
Yes it is Noon and yes the wines are big and the alcohol is a bit high. BUT the wine is extremely well balanced. Great acidity and a great representation of Langhorne Creek. — 8 years ago
I'm not typically a fan of off-dry reds, but this is exceptionally delicious! — 8 years ago
Texture. That's what makes this wine so damn enjoyable. It's loaded with dark chewy fruit and a hint of dusty chocolate. Round and smooth and voluptuous. The nose isn't amazing and it's not an intellectual wine, but bloody hell it's nice and keeps calling for another sip. It even carries the high alcohol pretty well (but maybe avoid it on a hot day). And it's $12! Crazy. Except that it's hard to get hold of. — 9 years ago
It was over 100 degrees here in Dallas before noon. Drink some champagne. Lovely. Red fruit, nicely fizzy with tiny bubbles. Light and wonderfully refreshing on a summer afternoon. Great at the $38 price. — 9 years ago
Really fine in winterlike noon in Cortina — 10 years ago
