First of all, go to Coquinarius in Florence. Nicola is a killer wine guy and friend. We had this our third and last time there (we were only in Florence for 3 days too...). This is still in a youthful and fruit-driven stage, with juicy and expressive sour cherries and a touch of orange peel. Score is for drinking now, but the structure and impression of density in the flavors make me want to check-in again at the 10 yr mark. — 11 years ago

Acacia flower, wet wool, moss, slight vegetal, apple, pear. Felt much more neutral in the palate, was a tricky wine to call blind. — 8 years ago
This wine is such a pleasant surprise still so young but very well balanced with a long life ahead. Only Manferrari can make a wine like this in Friuli. — 8 years ago
