An excellent rum from Nicaragua. The story goes that Nicaragua is active volcanically and much of the sugar cane is affected by the old lava fields infusing minerality into the molasses and caramel notes. In any event a lovely smooth rum. Will now work on the 12 year old! — 10 years ago

First tried this wine while in Nicaragua @ 25 a bottle and our group ended up having 9 bottles! Yep, it's that good. Light and dry. Pairs well with all foods from pasta to pot roast! First red that did'nt produce a headache. — 11 years ago
