Beautiful. Fragrant and delicious - apricots, white flowers, peach fuzz, Meyer lemon, prickly minerality and a hint of RS that adds to the ripe-ness. Love! — 10 years ago

ML BD Newport 11/19/16. Excellent still. Great acidic balance to go with various after dinner snacks. Would have been better with foods Friday night. Saved a bit overnight and bubbles gone but wine still tasted very good. Prominent notes of stones and wet slate and hints of ginger then. — 9 years ago
Toro is my favorite spanish region. Its tempranillo blend, called Tinta de toro, is superb.
And along comes the Vega Sicilia family with their impeccable craftmanship. The result is a joyous, experience. Mature, and silky enough to carry the Vega Sicilia coat of arms on the cork, but lively enough to challenge the wandering palate. — 10 years ago

Excellent Côtes du Rhône. Hints of blackberries and cassis. Black cherrie colour, noble taste and beautiful arms on the glass. Still very enjoyable the day after opening. Just a simple pleasure. XF — 10 years ago

Honeydew on the nose and initial palette, but chalky dry mid palette and lingering melon and white peach of the finish. Love this wine, very similar to a good Mosel Riesling — 10 years ago
1998 Château Caronne Sainte-Gemme, Bordeaux, France, Haut-Médoc. 1 Jeroboam. Dinner at Newport House, Newport, Co. Mayo, Ireland. 8/29/15. Fantastic dinner with great friends. Black berries taste with a pepper finish. The Jeroboam size allowed sharing of several decanters with other guests.
