Tasted this wine on the last day of our Sicily trip. With lamb chops. Absolutely amazing. Good body, red fruits, spicy, rich but nicely smooth tannins. Loved it. — 5 years ago
Pours as vibrant as the label. A blend of pan-Mediterranean varieties, led by Tempranillo and Nero d’avola, that makes for a surprisingly generous, juicy expression of the whole zany zone, AND YET grown in the SA Riverlands. These bullets hit — 6 years ago

Great Italian red wine. — 5 years ago
— 6 years ago
This dark Italian has black cherry and raspberry on the nose, with a solid grounding in soil. Spices and herbs decorate the aroma profile, with allspice and anise predominant. On the palate, it's a bold showing of dark fruit and currant accompanied by a savory, black olive edge. Those savory notes last long into the generous finish. — 7 years ago

Dinner at Campagna with the Sicilian. Need some for home use! — 9 years ago
— 10 years ago
No sulfur? No problem! So vibrant. The carbonic like Grenache notes really sing, and always love Nero d’Avola. Floral, violets, almost blue-fruited aromatics not unlike Northern Rhône, but then soft and supple tannins, Light-to medium bodied, just lovely. — 4 years ago

A nice, well-balanced red. Good spice and body. — 6 years ago
Still catching up with my Sicilian notes and this was a cracking Wine - one of the highlights for me. A red blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappucio (60%) plus Nocero and Nero d’Avola. Funky savoury brilliant aromas. The 2 Nerellos much like Pinot Noir. Light to medium bodied, sappy, dry and delicious. Could be a Grand Or Premier Cru Burgundy 160 Hectares DOC; 7 producers in total.
