Tasty with no aftertaste — 9 years ago
I have had a Chardonnay from Paragon Vineyard before, and this reminds me of it, quite a lot. It’s a SIP certified sustainable growing site and winemaker Christian Roguenant gets a nice full mouthfeel from the lees and the oak.
The straw-colored wine shows quite a bit of minerality on the nose, to be expected from Edna Valley grapes. The wet rocks and lime aromas are always a pleasure, as the are here. On the palate, there are tropical tones and plenty of citrus along with the beautiful oak effect - the wood is used in a very tasteful way. I vacillate between liking oaky Chardonnays and those with none. This one hits in the middle of the range and could be my favorite - for a while, anyway. — 9 years ago
Very light, very dry, Keller Trocken Riesling 2013 is a myth buster at its price point. No they are not all sweet. Light ape on the nose, good balanced straw flavor and a light touch of effervescence. The Rheinessen rules. — 10 years ago
First Sylvaner I've had, once again the fascist myth of noble varieties vs ignoble varieties (called "blenders") is shown to be bullshit, this wine is complex, dynamic, and singular, sort of like clover honey drizzled over kiwi fruit and green apples. — 10 years ago

The memory of my first sip at the long-defunct Myth (now Quince!) lingers still.

A legendary Greek from the isle of Santorini - Mavrotragano. Rustic and woody, if this wine was a Greek myth, it would be the Trojan horse! — 10 years ago
Buttery, light toast, nutty on the nose. Low to medium acidity, hints of citrus. — 11 years ago
They said Cab Sauv doesn't do well this far north. Not true. Here's the myth buster! What a beauty with backbone ...eh!
Gorgeous cassis, Scandinavian licorice, green peppers. A bright Cab with solid tannins and a firm backbone of acidity.
Having said that, there's a wretched history of mediocrity in the Okanagan valley with this grape. — 9 years ago

Tonight I will have a first days of fall Rose. You can drink rose anytime. Don't hold to the myth that you are only supposed to drink rose in the summer, it truly is an anytime wine. The color on this wine is a beautiful pink. The nose brings on good fruit of red berries, strawberry and a light mineral note. The good fruit continues to the palate where there is strawberry, blood orange, red raspberry, tart cherry and red plum. River stone minerality comes forth with medium+ acidity, a good long drying finish and a clean fresh vibrant mouth feel. A must have if you can find it. — 10 years ago
Shows that the myth about stags leap AVA producing Napa's most feminine wines is untrue! — 10 years ago
Great 2012 from J. Rochioli the single vineyards are amazing. Let it lay down for 30 whole days. Sharing it with Steve Berry's new book the Lincoln Myth. Also a Great Read! Bravo to both Rochioli and Mr Berry! — 11 years ago

First time with this myth of a wine. Polished but not showing everything. I think I missed what its potential could be. Confused a bit about what Barbera can be? — 9 years ago
