Light, citrussy. Delicious.

Like nothing I've ever had. Dry yet full bodied. Sparkling red. Who knew?! — 9 years ago
If this wine could talk it would tell stories and live a life like Hemingway. Old and classic, robust, hard around the edges, but with just enough finesse to make it timeless and classic. The lava rock really expresses the terroir of etna in here. — 9 years ago
Great red for BBQs. Very good blend of so many grapes. — 9 years ago
Magma flavor of Sicily. Wonderful wine. — 10 years ago
Another beefy specimen! Black currant soaked singed purple potato chips waft from the glass thick as magma soot. There is a buttery note to the smoke backdrop. The mouthfeel is less obtuse, with alpine berry notes, soft earth, a thin spot that serves as a breather, acting like acidity, before the plunge into lingering black currant, sweet tobacco, nutmeg, vanilla, and dark chocolate covered pine tar. Batter up! — 11 years ago
So many varietals in Italy I've never heard of. Solid stuff from the magma. — 12 years ago
Incredibly layered with notes of candied orange peel and fine herbs. Balanced and refined with lively tannins — 9 years ago

Wow this gets petrol-y, like Riesling. Pretty delicious, Alvarinho with a touch of age. Anselmo Mendes is the man. — 12 years ago
A good and one of the best Alvarinhos available, made by the great Vinho Verde producer Anselmo Mendes. a fresh, dry crispy version with a slight concentration and oak character. Delicious stone fruits note with white flowers and spicy bite. 😋 — 12 years ago
Triple IPA bien connue et excellente avec notamment le houblon maris otter pour cette version. J' adore — 9 years ago
Magma lite...buonissimo, overwhelming earthy, rocky flavor 🌋🌋🌋 @Delectable this wine is from Etna not Spain — 9 years ago
This is a nice wine with a lot going for it! Big graphite on the nose, blackened, brackish fish bones. Resinous tar, maple nut, charcoal, graphite, slate-y blackberry that morphs into dried black currant, espresso with chicory, licorice, black raisin, and olive tapenade! Stupendous! Not for fruit flies, but crypt dwellers: put down those frightened teens, and pick up a glass of these magma-seared, skeletal, zombie piranhas! Santé! — 9 years ago
The '12 is powerful, yet showing great finesse, made brilliant by waves of tannins. Cerebral, yes, but what people often fail to mention is how very delicious this wine is. — 9 years ago
Best Water.
