Great burgundy for the price. Really improved with time. — 6 years ago
It is THE Gaston, and it’s a great year and drinkable now!! Well done Palmaz on another great wine! — 6 years ago
Lovely expression of Pinot Noir, perfect balance of fruit, minerality, acid and dosage. Pungent and classic Pinot nose that evolves in the glass with each visit, revealing more red fruits and flowers over time, but with no shortage of intensity or pure chalk character. — 7 years ago
2014 vintage. Came in a little hot upon first opening. After an hour fruit showed up nicely with a smooth finish. — 7 years ago
Still alive and kicking! A most-elegant Burgundy showing mushrooms and earthy notes. — 9 years ago
Spicy, cherry cola. Big structure and fruit for burgundy. Slightly hot for 13%. Hint of dried leaves and tobacco leaf on the finish. — 9 years ago

Great fruity strawberry and darker berry fruit with a slightly silky finish. Like this producer, a surprise. — 10 years ago
Top notch Ladoix. A few more years should take the heat off the finish. Otherwise, exceptional value. Loaded with fruit and flinty graphite. I’d really like to revisit this. — 6 years ago
I haven’t had the 2005 Chateau Musar Rouge since it was released whilst living in the Middle East. Recently, I picked up a half case each of the 2005 Rouge and Blanc since it’s an anniversary wine for Holly and I. One thing is certain, no one could ever accuse Serge (and now Gaston) for making boring wines. Decanted for five hours prior to drinking. This had a crazy bouquet of grapefruit, brambles and strawberries, pipe tobacco, wild flowers, horse blanket. Delicious red fruit, spices and earth on the palate. Tannins are still present but much more integrated than when I had this on release. Examples like this bottle will continue to age gracefully for years to come. QPR is through the freaking roof. — 7 years ago
Excellent Spanish Red blend — 7 years ago
I have posted the 2015, but not this one (to my knowledge). Whereas 2015 is definitely more strawberry crush and red fruited in general, this 2016 is more watermelon, pink grapefruit, and mango on the front. The wine is very acidic on the front. The wine is of medium weight with sharp acid. There is a little less fruit here than the 2015 overall. The wine is still rather solid to the finish with the watermelon and mango notes, some kiwi here as well. I think this has very good aging potential. I think the 2016 Rose wines from the TX Hill Country are all less strawberry on a whole. But all, with exception to one thus far, are pretty damn delicious. — 8 years ago

A really good fortified wine. Very much similar to a port. — 7 years ago
Awesome. Sunday night pairing with Icelandic Salmon (ultra high omega 3) with soy ginger sauce, seven whole grain "seeds of change" 90 second rice, cucumber and tomatoes in red wine vinegar and evoo — 7 years ago
