Key word is smiling - details - Boudreaux blend with 75% cab - Galloni and RP like it and thought I would procure and yes it is a baby but OMG it is damn good right now - I had Ric stuff before and it was good but this is his best of the four vintages I had
This is big bold and beautiful - it jumps at you with intensity and power and energy - and still smooth - please decant as I did for two hours
Dark purplish fruit is blowing away my nose and steering to happiness with the taste and finish - this is an old school taste I remember when I fell in love with Napa cabs - this baby will keep growing as it rest for a long time - bravo Mr Forman - and summing it up - all SMILES — 9 years ago

2001 Dominus Estate CS. Drank this w the ladies after the house dinner w A&C BG and MR&GR. Green and spicy on the nose. We really enjoyed it! — 10 years ago
2014, Enjoyed it even more than the last vintage. The nose leaves little to be desired, with dried cranberry, a yellow bell pepper-like vegetal note, mushroom, and ripe cherry. The palate features more cranberry, underripe strawberry, herbs de Provence, and a silky finish. Flowing. No rough edges, drinks really well young. Always a good bottle from Mr. Clendenon. — 10 years ago
One of my favourites. — 11 years ago
Nicely done, Mr. Zepaltas. Earthy, smoky, peppery, pomegranate . . . — 11 years ago
You can't grow Merlot and Cab just anywhere in Carneros, but Mr. Hyde found the right terroir, and the results are glorious. I dare you not to like this. — 12 years ago
Black currant, beautiful restraint as with everything we have had from Mr. Matthiasson. Quite long on the palate. — 9 years ago
Nose of black fruits and plum. After breathing/ air for 1 hour this Beauty 2011 Pluribus from the Awesome Bond vineyard opened incredibly! Thanks MR C's! You know who you are. Flavors of all your dark black fruits, soft tannin and great structure! Wow in my book!! Great dinner at Capitol Grill after the Christmas Rush! This is Best in years of California Cab Blends! 1996 Screaming Eagle. Third set of reds we tried at house dinner w A&C BG and MR&GR. This wine we tried alongside the '96 Harlan out of magnum. The larger format on Harlan probably amplified its youthful flavor. We hands down loved the Screaming Eagle- supple, nuanced, like velvet in the mouth. Epic! — 10 years ago
A favourite. Big and bold. Jammy and spicy. Smooth and soft tannins. Lovely with cheese. Soft aftertaste. Delectable. Solid. 9. Older
vintages better. Recommend 5 years + — 10 years ago
Great Red. Went will with the lasagna — 10 years ago
Best $95 Cab I've tasted Y-T-D! It is way to young to drink. However already showing integration of fruit, oak, & tannins! On the nose blackberry jam, vanilla, cassis, pure sensory decadence! On the palate blackberry jam & blueberry compote with just a hint of earthiness! Well done Mr. Venge. PS decant this 2-hours + — 11 years ago

👍 but try the 13 Beau Vigne cult, same price & wine maker, Mr Venge himself. I kept buying the bone ash, but now Im switching to the cult, great wines to compare,My favorite white. This wine is so tasty that Mr Anselmi who makes it, decided it was too good to be called a Soave, so he "downgraded" it to a simple IGT. Smooth and sumptuous but with a kick of attitude. Did I mention it's my favorite white? — 11 years ago
Nice fruit, good structure. For the price this is great — 11 years ago
Velvety, smooth, blackfruit, wood, vanilla, L-M tannin, long chocolate black fruit finish... GOOD! — 13 years ago
