A big nose of ripe honeydew melon, citrus and cucumber. The initial attack is big and fruit forward with a nice acidity. The fruit and acid gives way to a long and almost creamy finish. Nice wine with sushi, or on a warm day. — 12 years ago

Happy birthday to me! A very youthful 1978 - racy in fact. Dark ruby red, without a hint of brown. Attenuated tannins, but enthralling acidity. Bet this was an off-putting wine in its youth, but it's intriguing in its dotage. — 10 years ago
