Perfect example of a Brunello Di Montalcino, served with Lamb in a red wine jus and you have a meal that really enhances the character of the wine. A deep ruby colour with an aged strawberry rim. Youthful, fruity aromas with a deep complex light and dark berry flavour. There is also a light smoked, cigar box finish and plenty of tannins for a long to medium finish. Buy in Morrisons for around £18 a bottle, bargain for an authentic taste of Italy! — 12 years ago

Where to start... The usual berry aroma with a nice touch of vanilla, a very rich wine in taste and colour. A lovely warmth follows the first sip while my palate attempts to deal with the rush of berries and plum that come through. An oak finish ensures the taste buds keep on wanting with a long warm finish! At 14.5% it will be interesting to see where this goes but this is no gulping wine. The richness won't allow haste! Thoroughly enjoyable wine current sold in Morrisons for a reasonable £9.00. I will definitely look for it again. — 11 years ago
