Nice fruit (melons, peaches), could use a little more acidity. Super tasty and a definite crowd pleaser. This could be a go-to for summer! — 8 years ago
In the nose I smell sweet tobacco and hints of anise. Wet leather and the smell of rain. Big in tannin and foul-mouthed wine. Not a long end but need to age. — 8 years ago

Although I'm a huge fan of L Mawby's Leelanau Peninsula "methode champenoise" sparklers, he also produces a cheaper, more fun line of sparkling wines under the M Lawrence moniker. The pale yellow NV M Lawrence Extra Dry Sparkling Wine 'Sandpiper' emits sweet/tart apple aromas with a hint of toast. Although sweeter than a brut, it has a crisp tartness that refreshes the palate quite nicely. — 11 years ago
Ordered some for my mom for Christmas & got a few bottles for myself. Fruity, semi dry. — 7 years ago
Pegau wines are among my favourites in the whole world. The cuvée Lawrence was flabby and phenolic when first opened. After 3-4 hours it was a different wine. Velvety, rich and foul of umami with this incredible port like sweetness. The only Pegau I have had better than this is the famous 03 cuvée reserve, which is one of the finest wines ever made in humanity. So tiisnie. After well 😊 — 8 years ago

A semi-sweet sparkling wine. Not overly dry but not overpoweringly sweet. — 9 years ago
Needing an aperitif to accompany a charcuterie plate, I popped the cork on the pale straw-colored NV M Lawrence Demi-Sec Sparkling Blend 'Detroit' from L Mawby. Nice red and green apple aromas on the active nose. A bit of residual sugar brightened the crisp fruit flavors. An eminently quaffable summer refresher. — 10 years ago
Good balance, well integrated. Grippy tannins on the finish with good structure. Drinking very well right now. — 8 years ago

Kinda funky. Smelled like washed cheese rind, straw, Granny Smith apple and Meyer lemon. — 9 years ago
We had that wine with grilled marinated flank steak with a little bit of blue cheese, cauliflower purée and green salad. The pairing was perfect. — 10 years ago
