I was plenty satisfied with this "baby montebello", a few years away from ideal drinking window — 9 years ago

Really herbal with lemon pith and baking spice notes. Quite a bit of dairy comes up on the finish. Nice acidity. Love the way it has progressed. Very interesting! #chardonyesway #ridgevineyards #montebello — 9 years ago
Although I prefer the Montebello this is also a success story from Cupertino. Great value and wonderful fruit. — 9 years ago

Ridge Montebello 1991, was the wine of the night! — 12 years ago
Nice desert wine. Both Helen and I like it a lot. — 12 years ago
Once again this wine was the favorite. Not too sweet and with a little effervescence, it is light but full fruit flavor. It is best chilled. We served it at a dinner party with my daughter and her college friends and they thought it was fantastic! I have to get more. They drank both bottles I had saved! We served it with roasted turkey, garlic potatoes with mushroom gravy and grilled asparagus. It went well with the dinner. — 9 years ago
Folks at Ridge pulled out some Estate cab, Montebello, and this 05 Lytton Springs from the cellar. Perfect amount of age, great complexity and aromatics right now. — 9 years ago
Very nice body, great for fall weather chill on the deck or in front of a fireplace — 10 years ago
This is one of the only sweet red wines I like. — 10 years ago
Indicative of the region, a well-made Cabernet from one of Ridge's closest neighbors. Excellent color, deep purple with little fade. Oak is strong in the nose at first, but blows off quickly. Still has good, assertive fruit raspberry with a hint of darker fruit and understated briar (typical of the region). Surprisingly pleasing on the palate with more fruit than expected. Strong, bordering on rustic tannins and good acid. Not as elegant as some Santa Cruz mountains wines, and could be a little better balanced (slightly over-oaked), but an extremely pleasing wine and a good representation of the region and what it can be like with some time on it. — 11 years ago
ボリューム感も香りの複雑味もあり千円とは思えないコスパ!泡にもう少しキレイさがあればとは思うが、夏はこれ位の方が爽快! — 12 years ago
