Nose of potato skins, really interesting clean white rice on the palette, at 25* really not too hot and easily drunken. Aftertaste of just a hint of the sweet potatoes this is made from. "Imo sochu"
A friend from Japan brought this one over. Yum. Bette with a bit of cold water, or a cube, to allow this to open up, and awaken. Best I have had to date. — 10 years ago

On the rocks, then with Yuzu soda and lastly with Calpis. Yuzu was the best and the alcohol creeps up on you — 10 years ago
A lightly aromatic and smooth sweet potato (imo) shochu. Recommended for imo newbies. — 11 years ago
Joe Goddard bought a bunch of wine for my birthday and we drank it on the bus. Absolutely did not need to have anything more after that initial salvo but bowing to his greater wisdom I accepted a few plastic cups of this shochu which was very nice from what I remember. Joe may have misjudged his own prescription however as there were some rumours of "bunk sickness", so far unconfirmed. As Paracelsus would say, "the poison is the dose". — 11 years ago
