Last looked at this about 6 months ago. It's not quite as fresh and vibrant now so I suspect it's past it's peak. Still plenty to like though - heaps of brown lime and lemon, with a touch of pistachio and pear, with that signature aged Riesling 'kerosene' note. — 8 years ago
Steaks, roasts, rich fruity full body and decadent finish — 9 years ago
I read the other reviews and was surprised how low it was rated. Maybe it's the 2013 vintage vs the 2012. I found the 2013 delicious and wish I had purchased more when I was there. — 9 years ago

Young and beautiful. Like @caine Mitchell — 10 years ago
This was an amazingly smooth wine that was full bodied enough to grasp yet light enough to sip for a while. In the words of Joni Mitchell, "I could drink a case of you". — 11 years ago
2011 Chard....excellent taste and value for $9.99 — 12 years ago
Loads of complexity! Nice boisenberry and cherry along with sambuca (that's right) and brownie, with a suggestion of, perhaps green bean. Tip of the cap to one of Livermore's best. Could go another 2 years... — 8 years ago
Loved the pare and green apple on this, crisp and lean just how I like my white wine. — 8 years ago
Outstanding Oregon Pinot. Pairs with everything. — 9 years ago
Crisp bold and flavoursome - always value — 9 years ago
2005-2/13/16-Great with braised beef and garlic butter mashed potatoes-Complex, fruit forward bouquet, great legs, medium long smooth finish; worth buying again and again; through wine club is best. — 9 years ago
Big Ozzie Shiraz. All of the notes of this symphony push the boundary--ample black currant, pepper and cherry, high alcohol and noticeable oak with vanilla on the back end. Somehow it all works together and makes a fairly powerful wine. — 10 years ago
Cherries and well integrated tannins. Lovely mouth feel. Perfect with Forge Pizza! — 10 years ago
nice. thinner... 12.9% — 10 years ago
Good cab. — 11 years ago
Having an excellent run of older Aussie Riesling! — 11 years ago
Best petite sirah I ever ever tasted — 12 years ago
Opens up and metamorphosis takes place: powder fine tannin to boot. — 8 years ago
Really juicy, full and spicy for a young cab. — 8 years ago
Kudos and many thanks to @Martin G Rivard for sharing this exceptional VHR!! 2 HR decant and paired with a homemade barbecue chicken pizza (really, this carries well!). Thanks to @Ryan Mitchell for purchasing the sweet potato soufflé and corn bread sides to complete the meal. Inky dark with hint of tobacco, smoke and red currents. Tannins already smoothing for a 2013, but this could sit and improve for years a la @David Trumper. Many thanks again @Martin G Rivard, look forward to returning the favor!! — 9 years ago
Just great riesling; colour still pale, will last past another decade or more; top wine level from Clare Valley producer Mitchell; 2007; #SA #drinkaussie #clarevalley #riesling #mcnicol #mitchell #2007 #bottleage — 10 years ago
Medium-bodied with soft tannins and ready to drink. Cassis, tea, and cedar dominate. — 10 years ago
Bold and brawny, full of black cherry flavor and a touch of oak. — 10 years ago
Very good wine, classic Oregon pinot, nearing the end of it peak, all in balance but weak tannins. Not as structured. — 10 years ago
Smooth, elegant, nutty, sweet, rancio. This is spectacular sherry/Madeira! The best Texas wine there is, hands down. Like a mouthful of dry pecans but sweet and acidic at the same time. Worth every penny! — 11 years ago
My great friend, Bill Mitchell, popped out some lovely wines and brandies tonight. This Armagnac is gorgeous now and has been open 20 years. — 11 years ago

Hmmm problems with the cork, which is fine as Mitchell Wines said 3 out of 5 bottles have this problem where the cork disintegrates, told ok not to decant and drink immediate, glad I did decant, lovely wine, leather, wood, definitely no fruit or berries, need to think more on where this wine sits for me, part brilliant, part missing something... — 8 years ago
