People must be out of their minds to give this Pinot an overall rating of 8.8. This is one of the most profound domestic pinots I've ever tasted. Blackberry and strawberry fruit but no tartness. Birchwood and a touch of smoke. In a PRIME drinking window. If you have this, don't miss this window! — 8 years ago
Blueberry wine w/ Lee — 8 years ago
While the first sniff and sip were a bit overpowering, just a few minutes in the glass opened this wine up beautifully. Silky black and red fruits with a solid backbone of earth make this a Super Tuscan you don't want to miss. — 9 years ago
2013// violet // mineral // stern yet soft // will miss these wines — 10 years ago
This is a can't miss crowd pleasing wine. Pop and pour the bottle. — 10 years ago
The 22 is drinking beautifully with the eucalyptus notes coming through that I miss in more recent vintages. — 11 years ago
Got lucky with this 1986 Margaux. Hennings in Chichester had a few bottles all of which had lost a good three quarter inch so it was hit and miss but hadn't lost any of the roundness and complexity. A "meat and potatoes" wine with full, full body and beautiful rich fruit finish. Buy it and take the punt. — 11 years ago
Very fruity — 12 years ago
One the nose, ruby, ripe wild dark berries, black plum, black tea, dark, rich, moist, soil, baking spices, dark chocolate and fresh & dry dark florals. The mouthfeel is big and lush (Parker wine). The tannins are round and beautiful. Wild blackberries, black plum, plum, dark liqueured cherries, black raspberries, dark chocolate, mocha powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, dark rich black soils, stones, soft leather, dry stems, crushed dry rocks and a touch of black licorice. Finishes nice young. Big lush fruits, 50-50 fruit and earth. Acidity is nice and round. Nice wine for those that love big fruity wines. But personally, I miss the pre 2012 style of Caymus wines. 13' Just another can't miss Ojai! Please let it open up in the glass for 30 minutes. I wasn't expecting this much oak on the palate ,for recently visited Ojai chards. White peach, lightly salted buttered popcorn, wet stone, The acidity is beautifully structured through the wine. I don't think it's as balanced as the Solomon Hills 13'(just different) … amazing for a $35 wine. I truly believe this winery ,for the money ,is one of the top 10 in all of California! — 10 years ago
I miss the rusticity of the past, but there's no denying that this is cleverly made. Sweet, grainy and accessible tannins, pure cherry fruit, hints of blackberries and freshly cut oregano; this is nicely updated. I like it a lot, but there's just something missing... — 10 years ago

Nice spice and rich, but still on the light side. Drank it with Moroccan food and it was excellent — 12 years ago
Weston hosted Friday group today and was it definitely a can’t miss tasting. Wow! Absolutely knocked it out of the park with heavy hitter after heavy hitter. Similar to Wednesday group, all wines are tasted blind.
Wow. Just an absolute stunner of a wine. I’ll be honest...to those of you who enjoyed this wine upon release 1-2 years ago, I don’t know how you did it. This sucker is wound up and will stay that way for a while. Sheer To-Kalon power. The fruit is so pure, dark and building. Blue fruit, black fruits, plum, graphite, currant. This was actually my least favorite of the 5 at first taste and slowly but surely overtook almost every wine. I NEED one of these! — 8 years ago
Enjoyed our last full day at the resort, and we topped it off with another visit to Seven Glaciers. The food, the wine, the views...stellar!
What a treat to get to enjoy some of this! I believe this was a 99 pointer. Still drinking so beautifully. Tannins are well integrated and there are no hard edges here. Deep ruby in color, with sage, dried cranberry, blackberry pie. If you have any of this, don't miss this drinking window! — 8 years ago
Bright acidity, smooth finish, perfect with fish — 9 years ago
Not at over the top and in your face as many Cali Zins, but somehow capturing all the depth and elegance that they tend to miss. — 10 years ago

OK. I have a six pack of this which has the disgorgement date of my only child’s birthdate. So, so cool right? I’d planned to keep these for a while, but after tasting someone else’s bottle a few months ago which was brought through the US importer, Rare Wine Co, which showed very, surprisingly advanced, I thought to begin my kid’s birthDAY 6-pack early, so we didn’t miss the magic of this wine just in case. Wow, best Initial I’ve ever had and not at all advanced. Fresh, very long and textbook initial in every way. Glad to have checked in since this will@last many years and ill slow down on popping their corks. Will be a great wine for my son for many, 5 to be exact, birthdays to come. — 7 years ago
