A mean, lean, green machine. Color and rim vibrant, not showing its age. Herbaceous nose, with notes of candied cherry, dried fruits and savory notes. Medium plus sleek body with flavors that mimic the nose. Sneaky, generous acid. Ultra fine tannins. This has years of cellar life ahead of it. A wonderful surprise. — 11 years ago
Grand cru raveneau is awesome and I'm fortunate to try this. 2003 was a hit ripe year in burgundy and most producers made wine that was too over the top. There is a ton of lees contact and the wine took three hours to open. For raveneau virgins.... You can't pop and poor this wine. Ok back on target... Glorious meyer lemon and minerality with classic only raveneau can mimic. This is amazing soulful wine. — 9 years ago

A vibrant red, the '07 Red Car Pinot Noir 'The Trolley' has beautiful scents of raspberry, minerals and licorice. The flavors on the palate mimic the nose, but are spicier and sweeter. This complex and full-bodied wine finishes long. — 12 years ago
Nice and smooth. The tannins mimic a Bordeaux very nicely. Oak and vanilla notes highlight this this strong cab. — 10 years ago
A deep reddish-purple, the '08 Col Solare Cab Blend is loaded with lush aromas of black raspberry, tobacco, anise and menthol. Decidedly skewed to an Old World style, the flavors of this refined blend mimic the nose. The balanced finish is silky and the fine oak tannins are generously prolonged. — 10 years ago

This is the "Cuvée J.C." Meant to mimic Jeffersonian-era wines. Light in body with a deep rose color. Notes of raspberry and ripe cherry. With a little time there are characteristic notes of tar and rose petal. A nice tannic bite. Halfway between a rose and a red but Nebbiolo all the way. — 9 years ago
