First time for everyone ! I played in a Charity Golf Tournament past week for Long deceased and friend Mike Doyle who was Killed on Pan Am 103!!! Annual tournament gives away prizes for all. Me best Putter! Lousy golfer! I received a 2 bottle Anniversary from J Lohr. Great Gift of Cab and Chard. Low and behold I open the white while reading a great old book the Intruders, I read the bottle it's Pinot Blanc .. Wow! Completely fooled! Two glassed into the wine. It seemed a little creamier, great mouth feel not as much oak as there chard... Nice texture.. Bravo! again Bravo!! Wow ! New find... Charlie B. WineWorks — 11 years ago
@Kirk Alexander @David L @Joe Lucca @Mike Rowe @Ron R I brought this gorgeous beast to the party. Kirk and I both placed it slightly behind the insignia since that had such bottle age to it and was drinking perfectly. However, we could both truly appreciate the amount of perfection this bottle contained. Time will indeed round out the wine BUT OMG was it still immensely, insanely great right now! I don't regret popping one of these early at all in anyway shape or form. Awesomeness in a glass! Bravo Mike!! @Mike Smith — 9 years ago
2011 Francois Carillon Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru: from Jay. Fifth from the Left in Picture - Lovely rich golden color. Quite an attractive wine to observe although its color contradicts its youth. Very rich on the nose. There is great depth here. You're immediately aware that something special is resting in your glass. Roasted hazelnuts, acacia, quince and a touch of lemon zest present on the nose with hints of honeysuckle. On the palette this wine is lush with incredible concentration and depth. It envelopes the mouth completely with fabulous viscosity. The wine dominates the mid palette with a punch akin to Iron Mike Tyson at his prime. The finish is not as robust but it remains profound for a wine of this age with superb minerality all the way through. The wine is very well balanced although the oak has yet to fully integrate. With time this will be an exceptional wine and the acidity should afford it the ability to age wonderfully. This is a true wine lovers wine. Bravo! - tremendous effort. Drink 2017 onwards. 96+/100

WOTN-> this absolutely crushed it tonight. Destroyed it's competition. Thank God that I poured it after the Jarvis. No one would've wanted to drink the Jarvis thereafter. Everything that you've come to expect from an incredible Celia Welch wine. Bravo!!! If I could post a picture of a mic drop in right now I would! Seemingly cruisin' along at 10 years... who says zin doesn't age.. ripe olive, black pepper and eucalyptus notes... ooze from the glass and caress the palate. Tannins are resolved, alcohol integrated. Ripe plummy fruit moving towards more savory, herbal accents, this wine rocks with simple burgers and Mac and cheese watching the Grammies. Bravo Mike Officer and bless you for keeping things real with your pricing! — 9 years ago
