Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, raspberry, florals, oak, vanilla and leather. On the palate, spices, dark fruits, cherry and plum, rich and medium- full bodied. Crazy wine, and probably the most welcome departure from the Syrah-Fest of January '19. I was expecting a wine with a tiny bit of fruit but mostly notes reminiscent of a cigarette being put out in it. Whoah Mama! If blindfolded, there is no way I would have guessed that this was 100% cabernet from Spain, and 40 year old cabernet from Spain at that! Still had a lot of Blackberry on the front, but also hints of black tea, rhubarb. Leather and tobacco in the middle into the Finish. But this one finishes with a lot of black youthful fruit that is reminiscent of a wine that may have 10 years of age on it. Completely and totally awed. — 5 years ago

Barnyard, cherries, pie crust, red currant with layers upon layers on the lifted nose. You could just sit and smell this wine and be satisfied. Smokey cedar with juicy red fruits on the palate. Rich and smooth with balance and finesse. Excellent Pinot! — 10 years ago
