Had with oysters and was divine. Great lees undertone and extremely aromatic, hitting all the right notes. Well played, sir. — 8 years ago

Unusual bouquet of damp earth that goes right into the back of the nose. Strong and prominent tannins, though not grippy. A very long finish with warming deep cocoa, salt and stone. Very interesting, though even at 12 years old still seems a bit too young and rough on the edges. — 6 years ago
Ripe red cherry notes. Nice structure — 7 years ago
Exactly what this last humid Japanese summer night needed - a refreshing and deceptively light melange of citrus and apricot, with a lovely vanilla enrobed body to finish. — 8 years ago
Wild and lively. Has some raw red meat. Develops polish with air. Electric. — 9 years ago
Young, but very good. Classic Chablis profile. Lemons, green apples, and oyster shells on a glycerin-tinged frame. — 9 years ago

Gripping, austere, reductive, mineral-laced and utterly cerebral. That describes the general appeal of this very well-crafted entry level bottling. But it remains expressive, aromatic, lifted and graceful. This vintage has proven to be one of the best gateways into serious and traditional Burgundy wines for many of my customers, earning it a couple of extra points from me. — 5 years ago
