Juicy dark fruit, complimented by black pepper, rich. — 6 months ago
Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
My guilty pleasure. — 7 months ago

Still in good shape which is no easy task for a 2004 California Chard — 9 years ago
カベルネソーヴィニヨン嫌いなアタシでもスッと飲める!かなり好みかも。 — 11 years ago
Probably not technically as good as it tastes. This is a big, rich, flavorful wine with lots of dark fruit and high in alcohol at 15% which is most noticeable upon opening so let it breathe. I like to just sip it but also enhances food especially roasted red meats and strong cheeses with crusty bread. Wine snobs will undoubtedly be critical but so what! It’s just a good solid inexpensive wine that tastes good. Enjoy! — 5 months ago
Oddly enough it does connect with you more each time you have some. Most enjoyable to have multiple small servings spread out over the day or a couple days. Not overbearing but still has good body. — 6 months ago
Earthy, blue fruit, smoked pork, olive brine, more alcohol on the nose than I recall, nice cigar smoke, dark ruby almost purple yet bright still, terroir driven with a sense of place. I feel like royalty with every sip. — 7 months ago
Beautiful and very well rounded. Less sweet than I usually like but still so tasty. Very full on the nose- hints of flush red fruit. Nice acidity and tannin balance. — 8 months ago
Very smooth and lovely — 9 months ago
An old standard in our household. Velvety smooth, rich juicy berries. Glad we can purchase Freakshow even at Costco in TX and have a solid, boozy Cab at the ready. — 4 years ago
Unbelievable! So good. Smooth finish. — 9 years ago
Lots of zip. Floral, lemon peel, just a hint of petrol. Could age for a long time. 12.5% and bone dry. Really great. — 11 years ago
Good flavor and went well with lasagna. — 5 months ago
Single vineyard, Ruby color with aromas of red fruit, baking spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry and cherry with white flower notes and an array of spices. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fresh fruit, spice and earthy tones. — 7 months ago
Beautiful perfumed nose, balance between heavy fruit forward cab and earthy Syrah. Perfect Halloween haunt. — 8 months ago
Drinking the 2016 in 2024. Deep rich color. Very nice legs. Earthy with leather notes bouquet. Very easy drinking. Deep ripe fruit with a slightly sweet finish. Low tannins. — 9 months ago
Beautiful Zin all around. I find it a bit earthy but absolutely stunning. Wow, when I think “Zin” this is the taste, and I got it on sale for only $35! It’s pairing perfectly with my spicy Chinese food dinner. I’m imagining about 10 other dishes this will pair wonderfully with as well. — 4 years ago
Really light refreshing delish! — 6 years ago
Full bodied and spicy. Great with grilled ribs — 7 years ago
Definitely needs to open up. Was sweet on the first sip. Significant fruit tones at the outset and got dry as it opened. I would give it a good half hour and drink and enjoy. Solid choice. — 9 years ago
Loved this. Not too rich, and yet still distinctly "chard." — 10 years ago
"Odedi"
Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Strong nose of yellow apples, light cedar, fresh apricots, light toasted nuts and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with limes, apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, light earth, honey, spices and white pepper.
Long finish with lemons and light herbs.
This young Chardonnay from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully right out of the bottle. Elegant, rich and tasty. Nicely balanced and fruit forward.
Juicy and entertaining, with light oak notes to compliment the fruits. Spicy and refreshing. Complex and engaging, and better when not too cold.
I had a few vintages of this wine, and it always delivers. This vintage seems to be much more approachable young. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a beautiful day by the pool.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 10 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
