Lovely wine. Gian-Luca's excellent recommendation at Otto e Mezzo. Medium bodied, classic Nebbiolo nose, vibrant acidity gives the bottle great tension. Tannins quite supple. — 10 years ago

2010 - Transparent red as you might expect from a classy Etna Rosso DOC like this. Extreme coherence between nose and taste ends with an elegant red, supported by a perfect structure. A real bargain at €15 at the winery.

Leathery taste with a hint of cherries — 9 years ago
One of my absolute favourite reds. A Vancouver wine festival find. Amazing, smooth, hint of black cherry, low tannins, not a lot of length but still amazing. — 10 years ago

Really great dessert wine. Tastes like raisins but better. — 12 years ago

I've been exploring more of the Italian varietals lately, and really diving into the Bacci family of wines. This Vermentino they make is just unique enough amungst it's kind that it stands out a hair more than the rest. A faint reminder of petrol from some German Riesling on the nose, followed by fresh white flowers, hay, and honeysuckle. The pallet is fairly flinty and minerally, with notes of ripe white pears, lemon zest, and a crisp acidity to the finish without being sharp. Instead, it is a wine that plays it's tune steadily at mezzo piano, with a sharp ring of a high note to the finish. — 8 years ago
