Pretty good but did not meet expectations. The entry and midpalate were really good but the abrupt ending was sub-par, especially at this price point. — 9 years ago
Ripe raspberry, cherry and strawberry. Lots of spice on the nose with a little floral flourish. Ripe red fruits on the palate meet with that delicious spice again. I loved it, my colleague hated it. Haha — 9 years ago
2004 Viña Bosconia - Current release. Medium bodied, nice red color; consistent with Bosconia's more Burgundian style. Nose of deep red fruits (blackberry, black cherry), some earth and mushroom, but a bit of alcohol (note: ABV 13.5%, where as some of my favorite Tondonia and Bosconia are 12-12.5%). Still quite acidic. Brighter cherry on the palate. Would like to meet again in a few years. — 10 years ago
Heavy but smooth, lovely to drink with Italian good. 14% alcohol, wow! Very very good, cute bottle too :) — 10 years ago
Cute label; decent blend for the money — 11 years ago
I finally had the pleasure to try this new vintage release of CJ Melka Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary Philipe Melka. It was yet another fantastic vintage, but from trying the past 3, it is easily going down as my favorite. This juice, as always, had a very enticing nose. It was rich, and full of notes of dried tobacco leaf, Spanish cedar, mocha, gravel dust, lavender, red fruits, and a faint hint of green bell pepper, which only livens the olfactory senses in a good way. In the glass, its youthfulness is shown in a dark royal purple hue with a lavender hued rim, and very long legs due to its 15.5% ABV. Upon entry into the pallet is an explosion of flavor, coating the mouth with lush blackberry and ripe cherry notes, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a very gripping finish, leaving a mocha after taste. The wine had ample tannin structure, and good Oaky nuances that with its medium plus acidity all came together make a truly supurb wine. Great job Monsieur Melka! Can't wait to be in Napa in August and hopefully meet you! #melkawines
Cheers!

Had the chance to meet the entire family while on a trip to Italy, was treated like a king. This wine in no different then my treatment then! Slight brick color in the glass. Cinnamon, nutmeg with dashes of baking spice. Smooth easy finish. Super Bordeaux blend! — 9 years ago
I must be something right, the outlaws gave me this bottle and it's a superstar... It is super with a meal and just for a glass.. It's flavours are berryesque with the taste dancing across the tongue.. Bacchus when we meet I will open this first.... Let my journey for the perfect vault continue — 10 years ago

Great to meet Ellen Cavalli co-owner of Tilted Shed today and hear about their journey into cider making. Loved this cider! — 11 years ago
Had a chance to meet Collioure grandmaster Bruno Duchêne last Friday @ Verre Volé à Tokyo | He owns 4 ha on schist soil and makes a very impressive grenache-based line up | 2008 La Pascole (90% grenache, 10% carignan) was fresh as a daisy! #glou — 11 years ago

Medium-deep ruby colored, this Côtes du Rhône delivers aromas of bright cherry, with a touch of tar. Flavors of cherries and blueberries meet earth and minerals. Had it with an Indian lamb dish, and it was a pretty good pairing. — 9 years ago
