Sweet, easy to drink, very fruity. — 7 years ago
Dark tary cassis, blueberries, stewed plums, black raspberries, dry floral bouquet, herbs, milk & dark chocolate, coffee grounds and underbrush on the nose. The fruits melt in your mouth upon entry. The fruits are full and round. Blackberries, dark cherries, blueberries, dry plum and ripe slightly juicy raspberries. There is a strong sense of dark barrel toast as I taste a fair amount of sawdust & baking spices. This couldn't have been in bottle very long. Mocha power & milk chocolate follow. Then, herbs dominated by sage, dry coffee grounds, dry dusty brown soil with crushed volcanic rocks, graphite, leather, dry florals. Tannins are still chewy. It's such a baby. This wine has all makings of a cult Cabernet. It's has great structure, length balance and nice acidly. However, It shouldn't be opened for 10+ years. Its so young, It's hard to score this wine higher than 95 but certainly has the all makings of a 95+. Sodhani's winemaker is Thomas River Brown has made 8x 100 point wines in his career. He's made wine for; Outpost, Turley, Schrader, Maybach, Aston Estate, Vieux-Os & Double Diamond. It's certainly worth keeping an on this very young estate. 2013 was their first vintage. Notes from a Coravin tasting.

No surprise that winemaker Jeff Ames' resume includes Schrader, Tor and Maybach. Big, wide red with aspirations for ginormous. Pure, extracted black fruit and smoky tobacco throughout. Big, gritty tannins from wood and skins. In 10 years this will be absolutely ethereal if it doesn't suck. Literally. Neat, risky things going on at this winery. — 9 years ago
Actually...not quotes as good as the Maybach. Both have a ton of life. — 11 years ago
Thomas Rivers Brown, master behind Schrader, Maybach, and Revana. Found him at an outfit in Yountville. Masculine style Prop red, but with a good breathe lets you experience his style without shelling out $250. — 7 years ago
The name means "understated elegance" which perfectly describes this wine. Beautiful, rich Chardonnay but still very balanced. For lovers of dense, buttery (but not too oaky!) Cali chards this should be on your must try list. Thomas Rivers Brown doesn't make too many Chardonnays, but those he does (this, Maybach, Rivers-Marie) are just incredible. — 8 years ago
Should have decanted it longer as it started to show off during the course of the evening. Drank side x side with a 2005 Maybach and was not over-shadowed. Drink with a long decant or hold. — 9 years ago
V13 A mass produced German Riesling for the Rheinhessen region. Our first none the less.
Canned pineapple on the nose, with passion fruit in the mouth.
A high acidity finish.
