Round and smooth - stone fruit with the mouth feel of a chard. Purchased late night at Maxwell & took home — 7 years ago
Hats off Dom Maxwell. Dark ruby. Tight to start but evolved considerably. Very expressive nose combing umami, undergrowth, and spicy plumb notes. Funk, spice and dark forest fruit, Perfect weight - the transition from mid palate to the finish is seamless. Quite burgundian to my palate. Total harmony. Awesome. — 8 years ago

Dark chocolate, leather, raspberry. 2008 Vintage, turning towards garnet in color. Long finish. She keeps taking my glass from me. Bottle description says "Sangiovese based blend as an expression of our love of super Tuscan style wines. " Rich and delicious. Thank you Stephanie Maxwell! — 8 years ago
Really nice and quite pretty. Found all of their wines to have a cinamon oak note making itself well-known. This wine was no exception to that. Beautiful mix of forest berries, earthiness and herbaceous tones coming through. Strong drive and concentration in the gob yet quite elegant none the less — 9 years ago

A new wine for me from an ancient and dying region in Portugal. In favor of beach homes and development, the old timers that tended the vines in this region are selling their property as its pretty hard to market and sell these wines. A sad state of affairs especially for what I tasted here. Thank you @TJ Maxwell for the introduction! — 9 years ago
