Another great wine from the Wagner family ! — 6 years ago
Look at that Fucking color. Yes that is what Pinot is supposed to look like. Gorgeous. Unreal nose. Sour cherries, dry leaves, pinpoint precision. Takes 45 minutes to an hour before the symphony begins. But the unfurling and aromatic nuances are just gorgeous. The fruit is almost non existent on the nose the first 15-30 minutes then BAM! Palate is just amazing. Red Riesling on another level. This showing reminds me of Möbitz. It’s so ethereal and lacey. Stunning. Amazing delicate and refined red cherry fruit. More mid to early season cherries and gloriously juicy and perfectly ripe. This is so fine. Velvety and delicate Lacey tannins weave in and out of the finish. Stunning almost silly freshness. Shannon brought. Loved!
Regular edition did not love. Kept awake. — 9 years ago
Enjoyed this with cheese and fruit. Rich, fruity, a bit sweet with cocoa. — 9 years ago
Winner of the most obnoxious wax job this year. And to boot, adding a pull tab?
I was expecting better things from this wine. To me, it wasn't appreciably different from Meomi. If I had paid the same as Meomi, I'd be singing a different tune. But the #QPR is poor here.
You can tell a mile away that this is a Wagner family wine. There is the over extraction and sweet vanilla oak that dominates. I really thought with Pinot Noir things would be different. Now I'm thinking that they really only know how to make one style of wine and bending the grapes to fit the style. That, or they're just adding the Mega Purple to everything. — 9 years ago

Beautifully balanced with good fruit notes and acidity. — 11 years ago
Hint of Apple, perfect to transition between cheese and dessert. — 11 years ago
Love this. Excellent bit of spice — 7 years ago
A dang good Malbec. — 8 years ago
Tropical fruit on the nose(maybe mango?) And honeysuckle. Apple notes with a mineral finish. Definitely sweet but beautifully balanced with acid. — 8 years ago
Vintage 2009 - #riesling #trocken with incredible good smell: complex with impressions of butter, vanilla, passion fruit and mango. Honey off course. Beautiful #rheinhessen with ocean perch and pasta salad. What a treat if riesling becomes older 😊 — 9 years ago
Incredible. A marker for this grape. Period. — 9 years ago
Five years on this is extremely impressive. Acid is still so prominent but complimenting it's drive — 10 years ago

A cabernet drinker's merlot. Another great Wagner wine. — 9 years ago
Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot almost looks like a Cab) with aromas of ripe berries and spice notes. The palate shows rich black fruits, blackberries, plums and black cherries, vanilla spice, cedar and cacao. Rich soft tannins, firm acidity on lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Nice! — 9 years ago
Heres the funk I am looking for! Wet wool hits you in the face, while underripe green pear, beeswax, jalapeño skin, and crushed macadamia and bitter almond add a lovely nutty element. Richer mouthfeel with m+ body for a Sancerre, it's palate coating and gives off great texture. The acidity is not the typical punch that I'm used to but it finishes elegant and well rounded. Not your typical Sancerre but really lovely none the less. — 10 years ago
Impeccable balance — 11 years ago
