A dark ruby color a nose of cherry's and currants. Sweet but not too cloying a good acidity for balance. It taste like a port I love it. It is the first dessert wine beside port that i like. — 7 years ago

Sweet yet smooth, this black laurel fortified wine is almost port like in its taste and strength. It is not necessary to save it for an after dinner treat though. Very well enjoyed on its own, even better with mellow cheese such as Gouda or a medium Cheddar — 8 years ago
