At nine years old, this may have been a touch past its prime, but it still drank pretty well. Dark fruit and tobacco were dominant on the nose and palate, with hints of earth, cinnamon, and pepper coming through as well. 22$ on WTSO nice rose petal red fruit nose. Cedar cherry tobacco hint of cloves. Nice. Tannins still a bit rough not integrated. Good length. Wow. I would have blinded this as Syrah. So damn good. Olive , smoke ,and fruit pie on the nose. Deep macerated raspberries with olive tapenade on the palate. Rich mouthfeel, long finish make this another exciting pax wine. Love this. — 6 years ago
