The fruit produced from the 90 year old D'Agostini Vineyard is elegantly robust. A bouquet of jammy blackberry and bright raspberry, immediately capture your senses. A multi layered matrix of densely packed dark fruit, blueberry and smoked meat dominate the palate, giving way to a core of velvet smooth tannins. The lingering component of dark chocolate and sweet vanilla is captivating. Drink now through 2020

Amazing pinot...velvety and long finish — 9 years ago
"Half-each Chardonnay and Pinot, Marguet’s NV Brut Reserve Disg. 10/2012 is utterly fascinating in its pungent and savory evocations of bruised apple skin and lemon rind; oyster liquor and kelp, toasted nuts and blond tobacco; sourdough yeasts and singed buckwheat batter. There are white peach and apple to lend a juicy, fruity matrix to the mix on a palate at once creamy and vivacious. This finishes with subtle tartness, persistent pungency, pleasantly sour invigoration, and mouthwatering salinity. It will no doubt be too outrageously out of the mainstream for many wine lovers, but I highly recommend putting some of it to use at your table over the next couple of years. " — 9 years ago

With roasted chicken and duck fat roasted potatoes. Better showing than six months ago. Fruit, floral, earth matrix more aligned, if primary. Rebuy. — 11 years ago
Bright, courageous, a bit even bold but fruity and quirky at the same time. Loved it by it self after half hour aeration. Dumplings had to be eaten all by themselves. Good stuff nontheless 2014 vintage — 8 years ago
The Sheriff is a matrix of complexity with medium to full voluptuousness combined with vanilla, spice, tannins, and every dark Halle Berry mustered off the vine. Drink this with marathon pace or you will promptly become the village drunkard. Cowboy Up Sooner 💃🔫 😉! — 8 years ago

The 2012 Timberline is eccentric and full, definitely a delight for the senses. The nose explodes with dark fruits and meatiness, laced with white pepper and hints of cotton candy. In the mouth, fruit abounds and is complemented by a matrix of black pepper and firm tannins with a surprising note of coconut jelly beans. This ever-evolving wine is approachable now and will be enjoyable over the next five years.
