Beautiful color, dried cherries, hint of leather, anise. — 8 years ago
'88 vintage. This wine has aged well (no doubt coming from the cellar at La Famiglia). Still lots of fruit, tannins softening nicely, cranberry and tobacco. Really enjoyed this for New Years. — 9 years ago
Lots of sediment. Decanted and was tightly wound for almost two hours. While waiting we opened a bottle of 04 Massolino Vigna Rionda Barolo which was 🎶 singing right from the get go! Then came back to this 83 and it had definitely developed into a great bottle almost bigger in style than the Barolo who would have guessed 🤷♂️ — 9 months ago

Nice Barbera d’Alba from Massolino di Serralunga. Paired it with snails. Had it with Davide, mom and dad in Novello d’Alba — 9 months ago
Third langhe Nebbiolo from 2021 I’ve had (after produttori and massolino) and I continue to be impressed - and hopeful for the Barolos / Barbarescos to come! This Starda from Paitin is a bit more generous and a bit less of an acid driven refined finish than the produttori. But still very nice - especially for <$20. — 10 months ago
Side by side with the Massolino Barbera... Sublime! — 8 years ago
At a table of Burgs, this Barolo made its presence known. Decanted in the morning and transported from Massachusetts to NYC, it was ethereal with a surprisingly dark hue. Reminds me that, for me, Barolo edges out Burgundy. — 9 years ago
