Nice Cotes de Rhone that I picked up at Costco. I taste more earth then fruit which for me is typical of this type of wine. Low acidity and tannins. Overall a good wine that I would pick up again! — 8 years ago

The most underrated AOC in France.....La Clape! Now Cru status as well. This estate is nestled in the massif earning wafts of wild thyme and rosemary. But still so close to the edge of the Mediterranean Sea you can see the foam and smell the salt. This coveted piece of property now calls Gerard Bertrand their winemaker ( only because we wouldn't sell to him after years of begging)! The Diamant is the most prized wine Karantes makes. 100% Syrah in this vintage. Chocked full of smoked and charred meat, wild lingonberry , indigenous herbs and caramely saltiness.
