Lolita Ranch Vineyard Syrah 2014

I think it because more balanced over time, so I'd recommend holding or decanting if drinking in the next year. β€” 3 years ago

Jackass Hill Zinfandel 1998

Ok. Not the easiest vintage in SONOMA. You’d never know it. Seamless, complex aromas of sweet tobacco and blackberry and herb and soil. Started with a little oxidation but woke up to deliver its message of power Zin. β€” 5 years ago

Bondi Home Ranch "Water Trough Vineyard" Pinot Noir 2016

A full-body Pinot! Deep Ruby with berry aromas, floral and garden spice. On the palate ripe strawberry and dried cherry fruit with vanilla spice and cedar notes. The wine is well structured, silky smooth tannins, balanced acidity carry the wine to a lingering spicy finish. Very Nice! β€” 5 years ago

Three Sisters Vineyard Sea Ridge Meadow Chardonnay 2015

The Sea Ridge Chardonnay is rich and ample all in the Martinelli style but well balanced. Lemon pie, custard, ripe melons and French oak. Not the most subtle wine but very good in its own right. β€” 6 years ago

"Terra Felice" Syrah 2012

Big, brawny, and more than a bit beefy. Dark purple with a nose of old cigars, bacon grease, and vanilla. Big ol' palate of smoked meat and white pepper. Tons of smoke, along with some dried herbs, and funky dirt. Not a lot of fruit here but you'll discover plums and black cherries eventually. The 15.5% puts out quite a bit of heat. Maybe too much heat. As tasty as this is, I'm not really getting Syrah so much. In the long run that doesn't matter because you should probably drink this. β€” 7 years ago
