Friday night random whites...
Fresh, clean and refreshing, light White peach notes. Nose is attractive, but a little too cold on first taste, so slightly closed initially.
Off-dry blend of NY's Finger Lakes region Cayuga & Vignoles, nose is really opening up nicely with some air and warming of the wine in the glass. Not overly complex, but this is a solid buy for the $10/$13 (wine club/retail) price. — 8 years ago

Impossible de retrouver le terroir du jura, c'est très bourguignon et vraiment délicieux! On peut penser à un beau blanc de la côte châlonnaise. — 8 years ago

In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now! — 10 months ago

Cherry cream, toffee, tobacco at first. Well rounded. After 15 minutes or so, sweet spices and wet forest leaves. — 8 years ago
Subtle earth and black fruit on the nose. Well balanced palate featuring sour cherry and a long finish. Delish! — 9 years ago

Dark and bridging. Some spice and bridging herbal notes. Gnarly fruit. Still quite dense. Serious stuff — 6 months ago
