Excellent Chardonnay! No Malo. β 9 months ago
2012 tasting great. Solid dark fruits, nice balance. β 3 years ago
This is just ridiculous. Act 7. Tastes of deep figs/plums up front as if grandma just baked a pie in your mouth. Finished smooth with a tiny bit of spice and more jams that make you want to cry. More of this please. β 5 years ago
Needs some air, but this is outstanding. β 7 years ago
First dance with British bubbles, not Champagne but pretty damn close. Very good structure and acid. Over priced when you compare it to NV Champs. But The region is now on my radar and I am looking forward to things to come. β 7 years ago
2012 vintage. Wow...now this is a serious wine. Deep in dark fruit and terrior flavors and a fair share of tannins. This was pure heaven with a barbequed rib eye steak. Another of those wines that I keep on the shelf because they are bound to be wonderful when opened but I want to keep them as long as possible for slight aging. But I never buy enough soon enough before the sell out. Mark Ryan makes seriously wonderful wines and this is surely one of them. β 9 years ago

At my Chardonnay Challenge of 6 wines with very close scores the Heytesbury finished 6th. I still gave it 95 points and a Gold Medal. HH said βpowerful grapefruit and citrus - Gingin/Mendoza clones and 97 points β. A semi regular annual purchase for me. Had my 2nd last bottle 31 weeks later on 11th April 2025. Still holding up - delicious, funky and a class act. Still strong citrus and grapefruit and a smoky note. β 8 months ago
Unscrew and pour yesterday. Noted from 24 hrs open. Fantastic PQR. Lovely meyer lemon and soft mango notes, some oak-influenced vanilla, but very stylish. On the palate: lovely acidity, soft slate, good density and a juicy finish. At the garagiste price of about 27 bucks, this is leaning in the case buy direction. Yum. β 3 years ago
New vintage. Fresh and tasted best after it warmed a bit. β 5 years ago
Great wine but could afford to have more tannins β 6 years ago
QF81 - Beautiful soft with loads of depth. β 7 years ago
Outstanding Chardonnay but a bit pricey! β 9 years ago
Nose is strong, powerful, and full of flavor. Oak flavor dominates with distinct acidity. Fairly good for the price. β 10 years ago
Had this at Car Talk night. Peter picked it β 8 months ago

Delicious! Had it as part of a wine flight at Salish Lodge in WA. Celebrating our 2yr anniversary of the day we met. β 6 years ago
A five hour decant. Dark cherry and blueberries with a rub of minerals and tobacco. Just awesome β 8 years ago
Dry and Smokie. Has subtle black licorice like flavor (plumb, blackberries, mocha and vanilla). Did I mention this wine is dry... In a good way. β 9 years ago
