Very dense and black in colour. These wines always remind me of Fruit and Nut milk chocolate. The colour makes you think full bodied but it’s actually light to medium bodied. A luscious mouth filling palate with the savoury milk chocolate together with notes of raisin and date. Supple yet persistent tannins. Reminiscent of a Priorat Garnacha in some respects. — 8 months ago

A blend of 40% Corvina, 30% Corvinone 20% Rondinella and 10% other grape varietals. Ruby with with aromas of dried fruits with floral and smoky spice notes. On the palate ripe blackberry and cherry flavors, savory, with black pepper, tobacco & cacao notes. Full ripe tannins, chewy on long finish ending with a juicy fruit and pepper spice character. — 4 years ago

Really nice example of a high alcohol wine being completely balanced by fruit, acid and earth. 17% abv, lots of raisinated plum, quinine, balsamic, and savory herb. Quite delicious, almost a shame it's not colder outside. — 10 years ago
