Lemon in colour. Notes of Orange peel and Quince on nose and palate. Medium to full bodied. Refreshing uncomplicated drinking. The base wine, Grillo, used in Sicily for the fortified Marsala - a style that has fallen out of favour in recent times. Tasted again 30 weeks later on 10th May 2019 with consistent notes as above. Tasted again on 9th October 2019 with consistent notes. Also notes of old apples and quince as previous. A delicious Mediterranean white and excellent QPR. — 7 years ago
Delicious citric sparkling wine. So interesting as it pours from a Bordeaux bottle with a very large cork! — 7 years ago

We had this at la belle epoque. First cava... Like! Find and buy. Nice flavor. Crisp but not too dry. Lovely. Eric likes. Mom won't! — 9 years ago
Dark brooding color and nose for Pinot. Bigger, extracted wine with chewy black fruits.
Fair amount of structure but playing second fiddle to the dominent fruit. Done well for the style.

WesMar never disappoints. This '08 Russian River Valley is a treat: from the fragrant bouquet, to the initial introduction of wine and pallet, to the crisp finish, this Pinot had great balance, acidity and fruit. — 10 years ago
Revisiting this burly beast almost a year later and it’s still as it was before: terrific. Impenetrable dark crimson with a little more bricking going on. Vanilla, lavender, a good bit of oak, and blueberries on the nose. At almost eleven years old, this doesn’t remind me so much of a standard Napa Can but rather a nice Bordeaux. The heat from the alcohol has definitely settled down and is presenting some wonderful balance. There’s still some fruit here with layers of blueberries, cherries, and cranberries. Tobacco, coffee, and leather on the palate. This is a wine that’s absolutely singing right now. All hail to Last Bottle. Just like I said a year ago, powerful, ripe fruit, and great structure. — 6 years ago
