An incredibly balanced chard. This one crushed a 2010 Kistler Kistler Cuvee Cathleen quite easily. This nose is very complex and quite aromatic. Limestone, melon, mango nose. Peach, mango middle. The finish on this wine just goes and goes. I've been lucky enough to have four 2013 Aubert wines all within the last 1-2 years, and this one by far is my favorite (Yes, it beats the Larry Hyde although I'm rating it the same). REALLY close to a 96 IMO. — 7 years ago
The best Moscato d' Asti I ever tasted. This wine is so wonderful and delicious. Concentrated ripe red apples. Mango and peach as well on the palette. Sweet with good acidity, balanced with great bubbles makes it perfect in combination with desserts. — 8 years ago
Totally Yum! Impressive dried apricot and mango, baked peach, on a vanilla infused creme brûlée. Really sweet on the palate and moderate acidity is refreshing. — 8 years ago
Golden color, very fragrant, tropical fruits with a lot of mango — 9 years ago
rape fruit with an high exotic extract that reminds you on a accidity from a pineapple, mango and peach sorbet, notes of lotchi and a hint of white pepper on the palete, with a long finish — 9 years ago
Amazing terroir and funk initially. A near-burnt apple bread, orchids, lilies, pine sap, mushrooms, and of course citrus nose. The palate offers creamy pear, eggshell, lemon custard, dried apricot, candied mango, toast and lemon zest, salty yellow plum, underripe strawberry-cherry-star fruit, this champagne has it all, from impeccable texture to unbridled complexity. Pithy, dry finish seals the deal!! #moutard #champagnemoutard #champagne #6cepages — 10 years ago
Truly a lovely surprise! Fresh, just dry enough and slightly citrusy .... Summer beach breeze in a bottle! For 15$ this wine is exceptional. I sipped it with an ahi tuna salad with mango and goat cheese but I'd pair it with just about anything. For me, this wine is easily consumed with a group of friends with diverse tastes: a perfect "social" pairing! Salud! — 10 years ago
2016 vintage tasted in 9/2018. Pale straw yellow. Exquisite aromas of ripe mango and honeysuckle. Off dry, low acidity, medium alcohol. Primary gushing ripe fruit up front with subtle secondary notes possibly due to malolactic fermentation giving it a very rounded mouthfeel. Superb Viognier. — 7 years ago
Found another '14 bottle, continuing to develop nicely. Bright straw yellow with aromas of fresh fruit, stone fruits and citrus with floral notes. On the palate, complex flavors, full and rich with peach, green apple, mango and vanilla spice. The wine had a soft mineral taste with nutty toasty oak, noting that the wine sat on French oak, (40% new). The finish was smooth with great texture and balance, time in the cellar will add benefit, an outstanding offering from Patz & Hall. — 8 years ago
Luscious. Honeysuckle. Ripe ripe red pear. Delicious almost mango papaya finish with the sweetness but not quite there with that fruit. Ripe round delicious . Killer long finish. — 8 years ago
Tasted really good — 9 years ago
Broke into my case of this gorgeous wine for a meal of grilled mahi-mahi with a mango and tomato salsa. Classic tart green apple and stone fruits on the palate. A badass wine from a badass female winemaker. — 9 years ago
Passionsfrucht, reife Mango, Papaya und gelbe Paprika in der Nase. Am Gaumen etwas frischer Apfel, Grapefruit sowie eine präsente Säure gepaart mit dezent spürbarer Mineralität. — 10 years ago
This is awesome, by far the most memorable of the wines tasted today. Tons on tropical fruit, guava, mango. Wonderful weight, viscosity, and richness that has a shimmering acidity playing background. Lingering smooth finish. Highly recommended. — 10 years ago
Melon, floral, mango nose. Nice acid, medium body. Mango, honeydew, bell pepper with light mineralaity. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from Napa...blend of stone fruit and tropical fruit...mango, peach, kiwi...fresh citrus notes with medium acidity. Favorite Sauvignon Blanc from the States — 12 years ago
Tropical and mineral nose, pineapple and mango. While the fruit somewhat dominates, it is a nice dance on the palate of fruit, acidity and earthy flavors. It is a wine with character as any white from the Tre Venezie area in Italy. This wine is from a local grape called Kerner. From Karen McNeil’s Wine Bible: the grape was created by crossing the red Schiava grape with white Riesling grape... explains the fruit forward characters if the wine. — 7 years ago
Very refreshing and lightly sweet with a subtle fizziness. — 7 years ago
